My work is an exploration of colour, texture and light through painting, drawing, coil weaving and photography. During my residency at Gunyah I plan to focus on the light and the colours that filter through the landscape in the Port Stephens area, with the intention of building a new collection of drawings and paintings for a future exhibition, and a plein air painting submission for the 2016 NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize. I intend to take my time walking through the environment, writing poetry, sketching, coil weaving and observing the sights and sounds of the bushland I will collate and curate the resource material for this new body of work.
